In 1989, Philippe Brault discovered the photography during a stay in Lebanon. After several years in the media industry, he began as a press photographer for Liberation, Le Monde, L' Express, le Publico, Courrier cadre... In 1996, he created a website "" along with Jean Paul Guadagnin and 8 independants photographers. His first personal work about the elders of the immigrant working-class in France, was published in 1997 by Actes Sud under the title "Cela commence par... " This work has been exhibited in France, Switzerland and Morocco. Today he is begining a new project about "obstacles preventing the freedom to circulate" starting in the Balkans and France. His work about Kosovo will be expected in next november in Pennsylvania (USA).
